On Black Friday, the infamous shopping day that begins the consumerism-drenched holiday season in the United States. ClimateChangesArt organizers joined with volunteers from Adbusters Magazine to hold this street-theater protest outside the entrance to Macy's at Times Square, in New York City. Dressed as elves, this group protested the unfair wages in "Santa's Sweatshops" and demanded "Fair Pay for Elves". Countless tourists, snapped photos of the "adorable" elves and their endangered buddy the polar bear, as they pushed and shove their way into Macy's to enjoy the start of the holiday sale season. We aren't sure if they got it, but somewhere when glancing over their photos of the day, we are hoping that little tinge of irony set it...
